A little about me…
Cookie decorating was inspired by our eldest son’s first birthday in 2012. We had a themed birthday party for him from the children’s show, Yo Gabba Gabba. I attempted a character cookie, with zero know-how, but pure determination. I was happy to add those custom cookies to his special day – even if the cookies looked like he helped me make them.
A few years later we were blessed with another son. It meant double the cookie-making opportunities. In addition to our sons’ birthdays, I began to bake for their school events, family, and friends. I realized getting lost in baking, designing, and decorating was somewhat therapeutic. It was also a huge creative outlet.
The same amount of love I put into that first batch of cookies is the same amount of love I have put into every batch since. They just look a little nicer now. Knowing that these tasty little cookies add a fun touch to any occasion makes creating them that much sweeter.
